About Me

Hi, I'm Magaly Phakousonh, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker based in Orange County.

I work with teens, young adults, and adults who may be feeling overwhelmed, stuck in their thoughts, or navigating anxiety, life transitions, and emotional stress. Many of the individuals I support are used to showing up for others while quietly struggling on their own.

I often feel that social work chose me. There is something deeply meaningful about being trusted to support someone during some of the most vulnerable moments in their life. That level of trust is something I hold with care and intention.

In our work together, my goal is to create a space where you can feel comfortable being honest about what you're experiencing — without pressure or judgment. Therapy becomes a place to slow down, gain clarity, and begin showing up for yourself in a more supportive and compassionate way.

My Values

These values guide how I show up in each session and shape the space we create together.

I approach every session with genuine care and understanding.

Cultural Sensitivity

I honor the unique backgrounds and experiences each person brings.

My Philosophy

I believe therapy is a collaborative process where you are the expert on your own life, and my role is to support you in making sense of your experiences at a pace that feels right for you.

Many of the challenges we face are shaped by past experiences. Together, we'll work to better understand these patterns while building practical tools to support you in the present.

I believe in each person's capacity for growth and resilience, and that with the right support, meaningful change is possible.

What It's Like to Work Together

Our work will focus on helping you better understand your thoughts and emotions, develop practical tools, and feel more confident navigating everyday challenges.

You don't need to have everything figured out to begin.
